Jerry has been actively involved in financial planning for business owners and executives since 1961. After serving as
practice leader in this area for the world's third-largest risk management firm, Jerry formed his own company, which
merged with Financial Designs in 1999.
Business owners must make strategic decisions about retaining key management talent and planning for business transition. Jerry provides the guidance and tools to help business owners make these decisions. He addresses compensation issues for key executives, helps the owners reduce their tax liability and preserve assets for future generations. He attended Calvin College in Michigan and continued with studies at The American College. He completed course work in tax and estate planning, business finance, economics and non-qualified deferred compensation planning. He holds the professional credentials of Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Life Financial Consultant (ChFC). Over the years, he has served on the Denver Estate Planning Council and the Denver Association of Life Underwriters. Additionally, he has participated in the Rocky Mountain Chapter of Life Underwriters and the American Society of CLU and ChFC. Jerry has also been a featured speaker on executive benefits and business planning for local and national industry groups. Jerry is passionate about building the future by developing today's young people. He currently serves on the board of directors of Denver Kids, Leaders Challenge and Providence Network. In recognition of his dedication and involvement, he was selected as the recipient of Colorado's prestigious National Philanthropic Day "Outstanding Volunteer" award for 2005. Jerry has been married to his wife, Joyce, for 40 years. They have three sons and two grandchildren. He is an avid fly fisherman and enjoys skiing and golf. |
